Katie received her Masters in Fine Arts at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California in 1998 working with Viola Frey and Arthur Gonzalez. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts, Magna cum Laude and her Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Now Katie is a full-time tenured Associate Professor at Ohlone College in Fremont, Ca teaching 2d Design, 3d Design, Ceramics, Art Appreciation and Drawing. Along with working on her art for gallery exhibitions, she occasionally freelances for small business owners, Pottery Barn, and designs labels for Wine Companies.
